This Is Not a Government Office. Connecticut Criminal History is privately operated. We cannot retrieve or correct a record, run an official check, or accept an erasure filing. Contact the official custodian directly.
Need an Official Record?
Use the Connecticut source that created or maintains the record:
- Court cases: use the Connecticut court case lookup, then contact the appropriate Superior Court clerk through the Judicial Branch for an official file or certified copy
- Criminal histories and rap sheets: order the correct product from the Connecticut SPBI Criminal Records Unit
- Current custody: use the Connecticut Department of Correction Offender Information Search for people held in the unified state correctional system
- Registry entries: use the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry, administered by DESPP's Division of State Police
- Police and incident reports: ask the municipal, state, campus, tribal, or other police agency that created the report
- Erasure and Clean Slate matters: follow the Judicial Branch or DESPP route that applies to the specific form of relief
- Local records: use the Connecticut locality directory to identify the relevant municipality or historical county geography without looking for a nonexistent county-government office
